Convoy Egg Conveyor

The 'Convoy', developed and manufactured by SKA Italy, is a very versatile, efficient and economical means of conveying eggs from one, two or many more places to a packing area, saving time, labour and space.
A central chain, fitted with carefully designed, flexible, plastic 'bars' can carry more than 20,000 eggs per hour at six metres per minute safely and securely in the 500mm wide system, which is capable of ascending or decending slopes of up to 40 degress, and turn through any required angle in either direction.
There is a drive for medium and longer distances, a more compact drive unit for shorter installations and intermediate drives to extend the system with a continuous and uninterupted chain to suit almost all situations.
Accessories include cover for the 2.5 metres and 1.0 metre long straight sections, the bends and the pivots. All of the various elements can stand on legs or be supported from above to leave the floor beneath clear when necessary such as over doorways or to give vehicle access between buildings.
