We offer various means of providing perches, mostly in connection with the chain feeders or the nipple drinkers, but also have an option of an independent single perch rail that clips into the polypropylene slats.
The EU Regulation of 15cm of raised perching space per bird equates to three times the length of the feeding trough that has to be provided, and the SKA 296 and 298 types are designed for this and for those producers who have to comply with this ruling, which includes those in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
However, it is not practical to fit these to every centimetre of trough, but as the nipple drinker lines have perch rails too, it is not neccesary either, because adding the two together is easy to ensure that enough perching space is available.
